Dacromet Metal Surface Treatment Technology

Dacromet is a relatively new type of corrosion-resistant coating material among all anti-corrosion materials. Compared with traditional electroplating zinc, Dacromet's corrosion resistance is 7 times or even 10 times that of electroplating zinc, and it has no hydrogen embrittlement. Dacromet is applicable to a wide range of substrate materials, including steel products, copper, zinc alloys, and non-ferrous metals and alloys such as magnesium and aluminum. Because Dacromet is pollution-free throughout the entire coating process, it has been favored by many manufacturers. It is a rare and representative high-tech metal surface in the industry.

Dacromet is particularly suitable for high-strength load-bearing parts, and its heat-resistant temperature can reach 300°C. It is especially suitable for high-strength components of automobile and motorcycle engine parts. In addition, its high weather resistance, high chemical stability, high wear resistance and adhesion are destined to make Dacromet popular in metal surface treatment technology.

The anti-corrosion mechanism of Dacromet can be divided into three steps:

1. Electrochemical protection of zinc on the substrate.

2. After coating and baking, the zinc sheets are stacked layer by layer to form countless layers of passivation film.

3. Mechanical shielding and covering protection of zinc sheets, aluminum sheets and chromium salt coatings after chromium salt coatings, and aluminum inhibits the "elution" effect of zinc

Traditional metal surface treatment technologies such as electroplating zinc have huge limitations: poor corrosion resistance of the coating and serious pollution during the coating process. The use of Dacromet surface treatment technology will become a necessity. This is especially true for some components that pursue higher product quality.
